I started a recorder program at my high needs school a few years ago. For many of my students, it was the first time ever playing an instrument and I believe that the students have really enjoyed it. However, we have had a lot of recorders get broken over the last three years and my school doesn't have the budget to replace them. Without funding I will not be able to continue.
I am requesting 100 recorders so that I can continue this program for the next school year.
Recorders are great! Students learn to read music and to play an instrument that is completely new to them. This gives them an idea if they would like to continuing learning an instrument in band. We have had a lot of fun with this unit.
