This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math and reading. Students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies for math. I utilize these for reading practice to record spelling of sight words and other skills. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. The chair pocket organizer is a good way for students to keep their classwork, notebooks and unfinished assignments in a tidy manner. This will help them keep their materials organized for daily use in the classroom. The homework folders are essential for students to use to take their weekly homework home for completion. The lamination sheets will be used for projects students complete in class to take home as keepsake. Since we are a language magnet school, I wanted to incorporate a bilingual bulletin board set for Non speakers to use as reference.
All the materials will be utilized in the classroom for students and teacher to use for the school year.
Student achievement is the most important priority of mine. By keeping a tidy and safe class environment, students' minds will take off to success.
