Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are active learners. You see them not only coming to school and learning every day, but you see their desire to want to know more. I have been so blessed to work with these students and see their thirst for knowledge. These materials will make a huge difference for them. Reading/writing is a HUGE topic. With items like writing journals and discussion cards, it allows us to not only have a new topic every day to write about, but also write about things that are important and cause an in class discussion. It allows us to not only grow in our writing abilities but grow as a classroom community. My students are active readers but we sometimes miss the big idea of the story. These materials will help us focus in on not only what the story is about but various key ideas and also how the text features add so much to a story. Please consider helping my students continue their thirst for knowledge.
