This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our Pre-K classroom, learning to express emotions, communicate with friends, and develop social skills is just as important as academic growth. The Telly Tale Phone will provide a creative and engaging way for our young learners to practice these essential skills through imaginative play and interactive conversations.

With this exciting tool, our students will:

1. Practice Expressing Feelings: The Telly Tale Phone encourages children to talk about their emotions, helping them develop self-awareness and confidence in sharing their thoughts.

2. Enhance Social Skills: Through pretend conversations and role-playing, students will learn turn-taking, active listening, and respectful communication.

3. Boost Language and Storytelling: The phone offers a fun way to build vocabulary, sentence structure, and storytelling skills as children create their own imaginative tales.

4. Develop Self-Regulation and Coping Skills: Whether using the phone to talk through their emotions, practice calming strategies, or send positive messages to themselves, this tool will help children healthily navigate their feelings.

By incorporating the Telly Tale Phone into our classroom, we can create a supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves, build connections with their peers, and strengthen their emotional well-being.
