This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders have been profoundly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. My students miss each other, their school, and learning face to face from me. Most of my students had to borrow devices from school to embark on distance learning. A lot of my students miss the meals they used to get at school. Most of their parents are struggling financially due to unemployment. Imagine how pleasantly surprised my students will be to return to a beautiful classroom to begin a new school year.

I have been an elementary teacher for 27 years.

I would love provide with a variety of art materials to motivate them to continue nurturing their creativity as the strive to be bi-literate lifelong learners.

My Project

Teachers, imagine returning to a well organized classroom ready to continue teaching and interacting with students that is fully stocked with charts and colorful markers and is ready to go!

I want to provide my students with scented markers, containers to organize their books, games and beautiful bulletin boards to welcome them back to a new school year.

After all these disruptions they deserve a class that is welcoming and full of exciting new things like fun math games, a place to put their supplies away neatly. Let's do this!
