Our students work hard, every day. One of our school themes is "We do hard things!" This STEM activity table will make our intervention lesson more comfortable and each student's work will be much easier for me to access with the configuration. We work in a small space and with groups of 4-5 kids, we need to maximize every inch.
The hands-on math games assist the students with their learning and in filling in any gaps that may currently exist.
In each session, we first work on the math enrichment curriculum but close out our session by playing a game to review and strengthen the skills they have just learned. Card games, dice games, basic multiplication drills, and practice are time-tested methods for making those connections that will embed in our student's brains.
Our school has been fortunate to have had multiple DonorsChoose projects funded and the materials have made a tremedmous difference in the quality of the education they receive. Our school puts STUDENTS first and supplies everything we need to be highly successful. But sometimes teachers individually identify things that would improve the delivery of their instruction and the student's educational experience.
