My elementary school is a small school in rural southern Virginia. It is a Title I school and has a diverse group students. The students are lively, caring, happy and curious.
The students each bring something unique to our classroom.
Some students are really good at math, and some are amazing at reading. While others students excel in science and social studies. Each student is an important part of our classroom environment and each student is needed to make our classroom a special place to be.
I would like my students get the same benefits as students in a larger school. My students deserve the same chances to succeed!
My Project
My students are the most important part of my classroom! This year, more than any other year, I am seeing a need for collaboration. My students need to share and discuss in order to learn. I know that giving my students place to work together will help make this year and future years a success.
My students need a central location to share their ideas!
This table will help my classroom become more student centered. My students would use this table to have a place to share and discuss the different topics we are learning with each other. This table will have a whiteboard top that will also help my students share their ideas.
I can already imagine my students writing words that follow a word sort or drawing an array on the table!
