A Suess-tastic Event

My Students

This year, I have a wide range of students. Most of my students are Native American. Some are eager to learn, and others will need that extra push to succeed. The children seem to work really well together and encourage each other.

I believe that all students can and will learn.

They just need to be nurtured and encouraged to succeed. Some just need to know that they are loved and can achieve their goals, as long as they don't quit, and never give up.

My Project

I have chosen three book titles to be used during Read Across America week for Dr. Suess birthday. I have selected, "Oh Baby, the Place You Will Go" as one of the titles. My students and I will read this book together and the students will keep this book to add to their collection. I am hoping to provide my students with these three books to read. The are beginning readers and all of my students should be able to read them independently.

Reading needs to be made fun and I believe these books will make reading fun for my students.

The other titles I have selected are Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. These books are repetitive in the wording and will help student learn to read more profiecient.
