This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our special education preschool program, we evaluate approximately 160 preschool aged students each year. We host families and their children in our small office to give them opportunities to explore and engage in learning materials in order to gauge their strengths and needs. These materials will give our students a wider range of materials to utilize that are developmentally appropriate for the needs of our population and will encourage problem solving, language acquisition and improving pretend play skills. It will also help to continue the work we do to foster strong and trusting relationships between our program and our families.
