My Project
Help me greet my kindergarteners in the new year with a brand-new carpet! I chose this carpet because it is bright, joyful, and has clearly-marked spots for everyone.
Many of my students come to me each Fall without prior classroom experience.
It is my job to teach them how to make safe choices, respect the classroom community, gain new friends, and of course, learn foundational academic skills.
Maintaining predictable classroom routines and structures supports my students' academic and social-emotional learning. When students come to the rug, they will know exactly where to sit and which direction to face. The clear boxes help them understand personal space so that everyone has a comfortable, secure learning space. Furthermore, the carpet is big enough to fit all of my students comfortably.
