The goal of our classroom is to feel warm, welcoming, and family-like. We’ve come to find that in our community many families are uninvolved in students learning and daily lives. This is why we strive to make our students feel safe and loved each day they enter our room.
I teach in a 2nd grade ICT classroom comprised of both general education students, special education students and lucky for me an awesome co-teacher!
Our students are caring and eager to learn new things! They love to be engaged in hands-on, project-based learning activities! They have creative minds that allow them to think outside the box and come up with solutions to things that I wouldn’t even have thought of!
Each and every day, I am impressed by their perseverance! I am proud to be their teacher and share in these learning and life experiences with them!
My Project
Help me give my students a new classroom carpet for each student to have a designated spot during carpet time!
Our classroom is in need of a new carpet, where each one of my students has an indicated spot.
This classroom carpet from Lakeshore will allow for functionality and organization within my classroom carpet time. My students will easily be able to find their spot on the carpet! It will help our class time be more organized.
Carpet will allow the students to transition safely back and forth from the floor to their desks as well.
