it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from many different countries. They come from Mexico, Romania, Africa, India, Ethiopia and Asia. But each student comes with one common theme the eagerness to learn. The students in my classroom are English language learners. The parents have come from from many countries in hopes to provided there children with better opportunities and great education.
The students love to share stories about their home country and have truly taught me so much.
Everyday, they love to teach me a word in their home language. They have shared their traditions and customs. Not only am I teaching them they are teaching me. My classroom is great representation of our world today and I would not it change it for the world.
My Project
When students are given an assignment, I encourage students to complete their work in a place of choice. The carpet is usually a popular choice. But the carpet is not always the cleanest. A fresh new carpet gives students a great place to get their creative juices flowing. They help each other and truly create a sense of community. I love to watch them have discussions about there assignment and give each other advice on how to improve. The best part is that they encouraging each other to be and do their best. Clipboards give my students a hard service to work on the rug. These additions to my classroom would really make a great space to learn.
