Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a high school biology class filled with curious, motivated, and bright young scientists eager to explore the world around them. My students' enthusiasm for hands on learning and desire to connect biology to real life experiences make them special. They also have a unique love for spicy foods, which adds an extra layer of excitement to our classroom!

The items I’m requesting—essential classroom supplies and snacks—will make a huge difference in their engagement and success.

Notebooks, pencils, and organizational tools will help students take structured notes, track their experiments, and stay prepared for class. Visual aids and hands on materials will allow them to dive deeper into biological concepts through interactive learning. The snacks will help keep them energized and focused, especially since they enjoy foods with a bit of spice to keep them motivated throughout the day.

My goal is to create a dynamic and well equipped learning environment where every student has what they need to succeed. I want to spark their curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and show them that science is not just something you learn in a textbook, it’s everywhere! With the right resources, my students will be able to explore biology in a meaningful and exciting way.
