My kindergarten babies don’t know the joy of sitting on the carpet together and reading a book or even having our morning meeting together.
The benefits of being able to gather together safely on the carpet will add the intimacy that my students need.
Every time I read a book they often say I can’t see because they are sitting at their desk. Having a carpet like this will help my students be able to gather and will give each of them the opportunity to see the entire book.
One day I had many kids absent so we were able to gather on the floor and read they absolutely loved it. So many of these children didn’t attend pre-k in person and have no idea what it’s like to sit as a class together.
