Help me give my students mailboxes so they can keep their graded papers and other supplies neat and organized.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Small's classroom raised $470
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from very diverse backgrounds and that is what makes each one of them unique! A large percentage of my students speak a native language, from Swahili to Amharic and still manage to faithfully attend school to learn yet another language, English. And they are great at it! At any given moment you can roam the halls of my school and pick up as many as 20 different languages and I've manage to also pick up a phrase or two here or there, thanks to my students! What I love about my students is every one of them have a starkly different home life but when they get together to learn in our classroom, none of that matters as they are very acceptive to anyone who enters our classroom and I love the fact that everyone is a friend to one another!
With the mailboxes, students will have a place to call their own and the transition from one subject to the next will be a smoother transition.
With 75 individual students, there is not enough space for each student to have their own space for papers and supplies. Within the small space of our classroom, every inch is used for student success. Currently, I have only enough cubbies and mailboxes for one third of my class. I hate to see students struggling to keep things together at their desk, while others have a place to call their own.
If you could find it in your heart to help support our classroom of learners by giving students a place to store books, papers, notebooks and folders, our class would be forever grateful!
