My Project

I am a first grade teacher in a Title I school. My first graders are full of excitement and love to move around. I like to allow them the freedom to work at their desk or on the classroom carpet. When the COVID epidemic hit we had to get rid of all carpets, stuffed animals, pillows, and curtains. The last two years my first graders have not had a cozy spot to sit and learn together. They have had to remain three feet away from each other in individual desk.

A carpet is a comfortable place where students and teacher can come together as a family and learn!

It will be our daily meeting place where we will start every morning. Lessons will take place here. A clean, germ free carpet is a necessity in any first grade classroom.

I am ready for our classroom to look like it did Pre-COVID. A carpet makes a classroom warm, inviting, and cozy! This carpet will make our classroom a home away from home! Thank you!
