A Soft Place to Learn!

Help me give my students floor cushions and bean bag chairs to sit on while they engage in circle time/focus wall on the floor.

My Students

My little learners love letters and word activities and print of any kind. They love stories and want to be read to every day. They proudly identify letters, both upper case and lower case. They love drawing pictures, creating books, and dictating stories through their pictures. They are ready to discover and learn sounds that make up words.

They love our classroom focus wall as they arrive each morning.

They sit attentively and so eagerly ready to soak up new information. They take pride in pleasing the teacher out loud with what they have learned.

They are like sponges with science inquiry exploring dinosaurs, bugs and ocean life. They use their imagination to create vivid artwork sometimes only they can identify. They challenge themselves through hands-on technology.

My Project

The soft cushions in calming colors for floor seating at circle/focus wall time will help my students remain attentive and engaged for the whole time as they will be comfortable.

Providing my very young learners a soft and comfortable classroom environment is the key to keeping them motivated and on task.

When they feel comfortable there will be less need to lay down, move about, or roll around which causes disruption of the lesson.

The bean bags in calming colors will encourage them to come to the reading corner, and they will enjoy books for a longer period of time. Therefore the love of reading will begin!
