Due to Covid, our current seniors have only been on campus for 1.5 years of their high school careers and the college counseling office is a new space for them. Having rocking chairs will give the space a homey feeling and invite students to come in and stay awhile. We have many colorful college brochures but now way to showcase them. It's surprising that although students look up colleges online or follow their social media, it's so beneficial to have the actual college brochures. Display racks will allow us to showcase them. Finally, snacks are an absolute must for any space that wants to welcome teens.
We want them to feel welcome to come in, sit down to talk, ask questions, and learn more about their college options.
