A Snack a Day Keeps the Hunger and Worries Away!

My Students

Take a walk into my classroom and you will see the most eager, intelligent first graders you could ever imagine!

My students are curious, active, and always keep me on my toes!

They love learning and always give me their all. Most importantly we are a family and we always take care of each other. No matter the circumstances we know that we are better together! As their teacher I strive to make learning intentional but FUN! I want school to be the place to be - not the place kids have to be!

My Project

My students work hard, every day, from bell to bell. They are the children of working parents who are doing their best to provide. Sometimes, they run late in the morning. Sometimes, dinner is late at night. Having a snack in my classroom just in case they miss breakfast or at the end of the day to hold them over until dinner provides peace of mind, for them and me, that their bellies are not empty. They are able to give me their best because this is a worry they don't have to carry.

Currently, I have some parent support in providing healthy snacks, however, most are purchased by me.
