This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the future! For most of them this year is their first time going to school and just when we were halfway through the year and comfortable going to school, the school buildings closed statewide.
They are struggling with their new normal.
We are all trying to make sense of this new normal.
My Project
Some of my children are suffering right now because they are not getting enough to eat. While we were at school they were at least getting two meals and a snack. I can't provide meals for them but these snacks if funded will help alleviate hunger.
To some these snacks may be an actual meal.
It breaks my heart to even think about that. By providing them these needed snacks, I will at least ensure that they have something to eat.
They are 3 going on 4 and they are still babies, the bristle blocks will also in some way brighten their days.
