Help me give my students a comfortable, clear, organized place to sit on the floor. The educational area rug with smiley faces has a cheerful rug design that will help foster a positive, friendly classroom environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My room is based off of my grandma Martha who was a door greeter at Walmart. She collected many smiley faced decor over her time which I now have in my classroom. I want my students to enjoy her collection too.
With this rug I will create a fun positive atmosphere that is comfortable and gives the students their own space and still keeping with the theme of smiley faces.
Each student will be assigned a color smiley face. The rug will be placed in front of the room which will allow students to focus and help transitions run smoothly.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
