This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A new and exciting year of Kindergarten is about to begin. Our school is a Title I school with a high percentage of ELL students, and children from a variety of backgrounds may even be entering for the first time ever. They may be excited, scared, and even a little shy, but all will be hoping to learn, build relationships, and have fun!
It is important to have a place where my class will feel safe - a place for learning and sharing.
A classroom carpet where we can have whole group instruction, share stories, explore, and even dance is a necessity for any classroom. We will also need cubbies to hold our many manipulatives that will help us learn to make patterns, count, sort, and use to have many other vital learning experiences.
