My Students
My students are some of the most 'AWESOME' students that I have been privileged to work with. Their ages range from 4-11. So I get to see many different personalities in one day.
The students are very active and love to be moving at all times.
Since our school is small compared to the other schools in our district, we do not have many extracurricular activities for the students. I try to find different activities for them to do while they are in P.E. class.
My Project
Most of the technology resources are allocated to the general education classes within the school to ensure that students are getting what they need to be successful. However it would be nice to add some technology to our physical education class. The students would love to add this different aspect into class. It would keep them more engaged in the activity we are doing as well.
An iPad would be a great start to adding a small dose of technology to our class.
We would be able to connect the projector to the iPad and do different exercises that they can follow along with. Videos that I want to do with my classes like Move to Learn and GoNoddle videos are a couple that we can do. The students and I will be able to look at sports and health videos that are beneficial to our class as well.
Even though each student cannot have their own iPad, they each can suggest videos, music, and other interactive activities that we can use with the iPad to make class more engaging.
