Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Majority of students enrolled at our school are from economically disadvantaged families. Having access to this technology will empower them to learn new life skills that will impact them for years to come.
A Laptop computer will give my students access to the latest technology to enhance their learning.
The computer will be used for two primary reasons. First, it will be used to access quality applications that facilitate students to learn the target language. A few examples include Blooket, Kahoot, Nearpod, Quizlet, Peardeck, etc. The second use for the computer will be to give students the ability to use assistive technology to better access the curriculum. For example, when learning about the culture, students will be able to conduct research online which expand their knowledge and inspire them to be creative. Additionally, students will be able to use the computer to make digital books with audio and caption. The possibilities are plentiful for my students with access to this kind of technology.
