A Shockingly Great Introduction to Magnetic Fields and Electricity

Help me give my students the magnets and electrical circuit kits that will inspire their understanding of magnetic fields and provide an introduction to electricity.

FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Morreall's classroom raised $484

This project is fully funded

My Project

I'm asking you to help fund these classroom resources that will be used and reused for several years to come. The Magnets will be used in a variety of lab activities to help students begin to grasp and attain a fundamental understanding of magnetic fields. The class will transition from magnetic field investigations into electricity generation. The Electric Circuit Motor/Bulb Kits will give my students a chance to see and construct (hands-on) two of the most common uses of electrical power.

Students will learn, by actually experiencing this science and technology.

This is a great way to enforce learning, using hands-on participation. The students will feel and witness the strength of magnetic fields. The students will actively manipulate electrical circuits in a safe classroom environment!! How super-awesome is that?!!!!!

These kinds of activities are an essential part of my classroom because a majority of my students (all of them) will vigorously participate in hands-on activities. This type of engagement strategy instills a memory with experience that reenforces learning. Hands-on participation is far superior to videos, PowerPoints or lectures in a science classroom. I'd greatly appreciate your support in giving students the resources needed to have these long-lasting learning experiences.
