Help me give my students the opportunity to touch, explore, wonder, and create. The sensory light table and accessories will allow my students to engage and motivate them to play with shapes, letters, and numbers.
My students are from all over the world as we are a 100% military population. They have autism and multiple disabilities which means they learn differently than their typical developing peers. Items like the light sensory table, different textures of slime, sticky notes, and water mats really allow students to use their senese to help them develop muscle stregth, academic learning, and puzzles for creativity.
Students in my classroom love to explore!
Different learning materials like clipboards and pens allow them to experience academic activites in ways that also are not simply paper and pencil. They like to sit on the floor and work. They also like to have choices and need support in communication, which is why the velcro helps the picture exchange system and lamination sheets let us develop language programs.
