Help me give my students the ability to wash their clothes as many do not have washers and/or dryers and therefore they come to school with dirty, sometimes smelly clothes. and are teased and embarrassed.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at my school are worthy of having the same basic essentials as anyone else. They are smart, loving, and eager to come to school.
We have Physical Education every day and the students wear a uniform.
They take it home once a week to be washed… but many families in our community cannot afford to do the laundry every week.
The students deserve to be able to focus on learning, rather than what others think about the way they smell. A sense of pride can change their outlook on their educational journey! They will be able to team up with others to wash and dry their clothes on campus! The independence they will feel will do wonders for their self-confidence!
