A Sense of Belonging

Help me give my students new resources that are special to them. These items were picked out with all of my students in mind based on their interests, abilities, and to enhance their sense of belonging!

My Project

I have 30-35 special needs students that I teacher on a daily basis. These students each have something to offer to our school and more specifically my classroom.

No students has the same disability, but more importantly no student has the same ability, which is why you see so many different things on this grant.

These materials will allow them to learning in different ways that will be fun, new, and exciting, but more importantly, hand selected with them in mind.

I have so many goals that I would love to reach and so many things I would love to see my students accomplish and I know with the right materials, these goals are obtainable plus so much more! I have really kept all of my students in mind when requesting these materials. There are materials for my visually impaired students, there are books for my students who love to read, there are art supplies for my students who thrive on art projects, there are task boxes for my students that learn best with hands on materials, there are materials that will allow each student to have their own materials that they won't have to share, and there are materials for the students that love to be the teacher's helper and interact with them.

My biggest goal for this project is to bring in these materials that I have hand selected based off of my students preferences and interests and reach their individual learning goals, all while they are having fun without realizing they are also learning and reaching those goals themselves.

My students are so incredibly special! They may all have a disability that makes every day life a little bit harder, but when you see their ability, they can't be stopped!
