Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing little scholars who are curious learners. Many of my students are new arrivals to the country. However, despite this, they are eager to try their best. Eager to make new friends. Most importantly they are eager to learn a new language. My students are bilingual students, who make many gains despite difficulties in learning English. They are kind, funny, sweet, and generous. They are a little family which likes to help each other out no matter what.
My Project
Space is always limited. With many little bodies, there is not always the most space to store their belongings. In addition, having many notebooks, folders, crayons, markers etc. creates much clutter if there is not enough space to store all the items. Sometimes because of limited space, students do not have enough reading materials. Furthermore, by having seat sacks, the students will have easier access to their independent reading books. They will have a dedicated space to store the books that they carefully select from the library. Ultimately, seat sacks will help maintain an organized, clutter free room, which is an optimal environment for learning.
