My Project

My Students

My students are from the City of Champions and that is exactly what they are, Champions!

They have various learning disabilities that do not stop them from working hard and achieving their goals. Upon entering our school they are smiling from ear to ear. They love our school community.

These mini champions face many challenges on their road to success both in and out of the classroom. All of my students have a learning disability and many of them are from multi-lingual homes. Many students may not have materials they need at home to complete assignments or perhaps they do not have a home to go to at the end of the school day.

Our district is dealing with a deficit of more than $15 million. This is affecting our students in serious ways. My goal is to ensure my students have the materials and tools they need to grow into the amazing students they are meant to be!

My Project

It can be very difficult for children to sit in their seats properly even for short periods of time. Not all children work best in a traditional chair, especially my students. Kore Kids Wobble Chairs are the perfect solution for keeping students active during the day. They allow for students to be able to move while sitting "still." The movement is subtle and allows students to focus when listening or working on assignments.

Kore Kids Wobble Chairs will be utilized at our small group table. While students are actively engaged in developing mathematical sense and learning to write, they will be able to sit in a comfortable seat that gives them the choice of moving while they learn. Providing students with safe, comfortable seating options helps to create a supportive learning environment for all.
