This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is awesome that my students want to come to join me for groups and lunch. They feel safe and able to be themselves. Yet, it is almost unbelievable to think, that I do not have enough chairs in my room for students. I have a few mismatched chairs around the table for my groups.
Students need a Seat at the Table and not the floor, so they can feel important and build confidence.
I know they enjoy the time and would rather sit on the floor, than wait until next week for me to get them. However, they should feel that they are worthy of an item as basic as a seat!
