This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me enhance my Counseling space by providing my students with sensory tools, toys, books, and flexible seating. Often, our students struggle with regulating their emotions due to multiple sources of stress and uncertainty. These tools will enhance my space and create a safe, calming environment. The resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will help support my sessions with my students to help them process and learn how to manage their grief, anxiety, and stress. The books will help to normalize and validate their emotions and experiences. My safe space will encourage relaxation and begin conversations about their difficulties and emotions.
