Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am refreshing my cozy corner in my classroom. This area is used to calm students when they are feeling big emotions and is a cozy spot to sit down a look at a book. Students are more likely to use the calming space if it is inviting and organized.
I want to utilize the space in my classroom and have the space work for the multiple needs of my students.
Comfortable seating, an inviting rug, and a selection books will ignite their desire to learn and explore. My students are just starting to explore reading as well as learning to navigate big emotions. Help them have a safe and comfortable space to do both.
