This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help me give my students a warm, supportive office space with a couch and essentials to help low-income students feel safe, grow emotionally, and thrive academically every day.
I work with resilient, curious, and bright students who face significant challenges in and out of school.
Despite these obstacles, they show up every day ready to learn, connect, and grow. What makes them special is their strength, openness, and the way they support one another. They deserve a space where they feel valued, safe, and heard.
This project will help me transform my office into a calm and welcoming environment. The couch and soft seating will make students feel comfortable enough to open up, while the decor and organizational items will create a peaceful atmosphere. These resources will support emotional regulation, build trust, and help students refocus when facing difficult situations. My goal is to create a safe space for restorative conversations, one-on-one check-ins, and moments of calm so students can return to class feeling more grounded and ready to learn.
By investing in their emotional well-being, we are also investing in their academic success. A comforting space can make all the difference for a student who simply needs a moment to breathe, reflect, and be reminded that they matter.
