My Project
Students with disabilities sometimes find it difficult to find a safe space in school where they feel comfortable learning, and expressing themselves. The special education resource room is used for small group instruction, and reinforcing remedial skills. Students will get the opportunity to use dry erase markers for the white boards during SETSS and small group instruction.
Having a comfortable space with fish tanks, stress balls, and bean bags chairs will allow students to enhance their learning, while feeling at ease from the traditional classroom environment.
Students will be allowed to take fish home during school breaks so that they can become more independent and responsible.
Along with stress relievers such as stuffed animals and stress balls, students will have access to staplers and scissors to complete projects and assignments.
