Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are truly amazing. They are curious, motivated, and consistently eager to grow. Not just academically, but as kind, thoughtful individuals. What makes our students so special is their resilience, their enthusiasm for learning, and their openness to understanding themselves and others.
These carefully chosen books and social-emotional learning tools will help guide them on a journey of self-awareness and emotional growth.
They will learn to recognize and manage their emotions, practice empathy, communicate effectively, and build strong, respectful relationships. Our goals with these resources are to:
-Foster emotional intelligence and self-regulation
-Build a safe, inclusive, and compassionate classroom culture
-Support mental well-being and resilience
-Encourage positive decision-making and conflict resolution
By integrating these tools into our daily learning, we are not only supporting academic success, but also nurturing the emotional and social foundations our students need to thrive. Both in the classroom and beyond. This investment in their emotional growth will make a lasting difference in their confidence, relationships, and lifelong learning journey
