A Safe Place to Create

Help me give my students a safe place to create by funding comfortable setting with a coffee table to place supplies and new brushes to paint with.

My Project

As an art teacher of 180 precious high school students at a Title I school, my goal is to create a safe place for my students to blossom creatively. The COVID 19 pandemic caused great anxiety in many of our students. Returning to school has been difficult for many. Chronic Absenteeism is an issue for many.

Buy having a comfortable sofa for home like seating and a coffee table to place their supplies, I hope to ease student anxiety and create an optimal atmosphere for creativity and decrease absenteeism.

Many of my students enjoy expressing themselves through painting. Creating art helps their emotional and mental wellbeing. We are needing more brushes for the students to express their creativity through art! Thank you for considering our project!
