Help me give my students a safe return to school. We are scheduled to return for in-person learning and these desk shield will help me protect my students from exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a STEAM magnet center and we provide integrated curriculum that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. Our school is a Title I school where all students qualify for free lunch and come from low-income families. Regardless of circumstances, my students are eager to learn and reach their academic goals. Funding has been limited and these desk shield will provide protection for my little first graders. We are scheduled to return to in person learning and they are super excited to return to school.
My students are enthusiastic learners and these desk shields will allow them to continue focusing on learning and having fun!
They love school and can't wait to meet their classmates in-person. These partitions will help us all stay health and safe. Having the desk shield during our in-person learning, is vital for my students health and the continual health of our community right now.
My Project
We are scheduled to return to school mid-April and I want to do everything possible to protect all of my students from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. I completely understand the school as if was before the pandemic will not be the same for a while. I want to ensure that both my students and their parents feel safe returning to class.
I strongly feel that providing these desk shields will serve as a barrier that will lower exposure and provide more protection to all of my students equally.
My students are so eager and excited to return to class and I want to make sure I do everything I can to provide as much protection as possible.
I am asking for 24 desk shield for my student's desks and 1 teacher partition to use on my teacher desk. I am also asking for a table partition that will allow me to provide small group or one-to one instruction using my class kidney table. I will also use this area for testing.
I feel that this added protection will allow my students to focus on learning and having fun. I thank you in advance for considering my project and helping with it's funding.
