A Safe and Productive Classroom

My Students

I teach 3rd and 4th grade Special Education students. My student work on basic reading, writing, and math skills. They love hands on learning and interactive toys and I don't have a single student that doesn't love to read! I've had to tell them not to take books with them to the bathroom a time or two.

My Project

My Special Education students have all faced difficulty over the last three years and much of that has required more use of social emotional learning. My students would benefit from these materials by way of helping them feel good about themselves and their academic skills. These materials would also create a more relaxing and calm environment to help my students have a safe place to learn. I've learned that my student benefit most from learning from physical materials more than online resources, and these materials would help add more variety to their learning routines.
