This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Like all teachers and students, this year is far from our normal. Due to COVID-19, my students started remotely and faced many learning challenges. Despite the challenges, we have lucked out in one of the best ways during this time, because we have looped together from 2nd grade to 3rd grade. I have gained new students that I did not have last year and they have been wonderful to add to our classroom family!

We are now back to IN-PERSON learning and we're faced with more challenges... the HEALTH & SAFETY OF OTHERS and OURSELVES.

It has been a beautiful thing to be back with my students, but we need more protection.

My Project

The items that I am requesting for my classroom are to help us with cleaner air quality. My room does not have windows that open up for better and proper ventilation, so having an air purifier would help. We are keeping as sanitary as possible with the cleaning and sanitary supplies that were graciously donated by my students' families and by the help of our school janitors.

By providing our classroom with an air purifier, we will feel better about breathing in fresher and cleaner air that will help keep us healthier.
