A Safe and Comfy Restorative Circle

Help me give my students the safe and comfy space they deserve to engage in the restorative practices that makes our school community strong.

My Project

All students deserve to feel safe and like they belong at school. Restorative practices are one of the ways we build community at our school. This year I want to create the space needed to really expand the work we do in circles.

When we sit in circles we can better connect with one another, meet as equals, and do the hard work of being vulnerable and engaging in productive conflict.

While we can pull our chairs into a circle anywhere, I want to create a dedicated space in our school where students can come and do this important work together. Students helped me pick out these chairs for their comfort and aesthetic.
