My Project
With this project, I hope to replace our disintegrating rug and replace it with a comfortable rug that is large enough to accommodate our growing class size. My class is filled with diverse learners excited for first grade and learning new things! The majority of my students are English language learners and come from homes that cannot afford much. My students need a comfortable place for small groups to read books, use math tools, learning games, and for whole group lessons.
I want my students to have welcoming rug that will invite them to sit, explore, and learn.
A brand new rug will allow my current and future students to have a place to explore books, listen to read alouds, learn to share ideas, participate in number talks, and feel like part of a classroom family. My goal is for my students to feel comfortable while inspiring them to make a year's worth of growth in their academics.
