Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be teaching a 5th-grade dual language class. My students need a comfortable place to sit while they are in our meeting area. Currently, they sit on the floor which adds to their distractions. They often complain about having to sit there and would rather sit at their desks. The same goes for our reading area. They don’t have enough places to sit comfortably while reading. It is so important for these students to feel comfortable in their classroom. They need a rug where they are excited to learn and socialize.
