My Project
Independent reading is a crucial component of our school day. Research has shown that students must be given time to read independently to build their reading comprehension and fluency. We are excited to create the perfect reading nook for our students to enjoy a good book! In order to make this nook come to life, we need a cozy rug!
As Kathleen Beers stated, "Disfluent readers are most often disfluent because of a lack of practice with reading." Research has shown that the more a child reads the more his/her reading rate will improve.
Please help me provide a comfy area for my students to practice their reading skills.
