This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students thrive in a welcoming, structured environment where they feel safe, seen, and ready to learn. As I prepare to welcome my very first class of first graders, I’m excited to create a warm and inclusive space where students can grow both academically and socially. A new classroom rug will provide a central gathering place for morning meetings, read-alouds, and collaborative lessons—helping to build a strong classroom community from day one. This rug will be the heart of our room, where friendships are formed, ideas are shared, and a love of learning takes root. Thank you for considering this request to support our learning environment!
