My Project
My kids are fascinated with robots because they learn to code or technology in the computer lab. They have also learned how different types of robots or technology serve and help people. They are very interested in robots, droids, and machines that serve a purpose.
In movies and comic novels robots have cool weapons, can transform into cars, and destroy things, but those are not practical machines.
I want my students to see a more practical use of robots. I want them to touch a robot that assists people in real life such as iRobot Mop. I want them to realize that there is a real robot that serves a purpose. They will analyze this cleaning android and make observations of its behavior. I hope the mopping robot will inspire my students to look into and think about robots or technology that help improve our daily life. The iRobot Mop would save me time and energy since I don't have to take out the precious academic planning time to mop the classroom. I hope you would support us in this endeavor.
