This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have been passionate about designing, building, and coding robots. We have been using the same materials for three years and are now experiencing a shortage of materials. More metal channels are needed to innovate the robot further. The students have been eager to create swivel for the robot arm. The lift kit needs a new belt due to wear and tear. The team power drill has been used to its max and we require an alternate. The only saw we have has a blade as sharp as a butter knife.

As we recruit the next generation of engineers (software and mechanical) I believe having functional tools and materials will allow the students to bring their dreams to life.

I really like how the new team members are excited when building and coding the robot. I hope this will lead to a fruitful career in engineering.
