Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school family is located in the heart of Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. We are a small school but we are a family oriented school where we meet parents and their children where they are at. Our kiddos are enthusiastic, creative, curious and overall just eager to learn. They see the classroom as an environment for learning and they use every bit of it as a resource to learn.
My Project
Our classroom is a place where students thrive. When students are given the materials needed to meet them where they’re at they thrive. With these materials our students will reach their goals of reading, writing, math and their overall education. My kiddos are in Kindergarten and they need various hands-on materials for learning in their centers. We are a dual language classroom therefore receiving bilingual books are instrumental for their language learning. These print- rich books will be essential for our beginner readers and our classroom library.
