A Reinvigorated Drumline to Reinvigorate the School Spirit
Help me give my students a full set of drum heads for a 2 snare, 1 tenor, and 4 bass drumline.

The COVID years inhibited the traditions and normalcy of many extra-curricular groups such as sports and music. While learning could always happen online, the team based activities like marching band were greatly affected when that team experience was taken away. With sports, band, and cheer gone, the school spirit has diminished drastically with a new set of students who haven’t had the opportunity to experience games and traditions. In an effort to bring back the school spirit, I am working to take our drumline to the next level.
The current drums have equipment that is years old and no longer provide the feel, sound, and quality that our current drumline students need to perform and learn successfully.
The biggest step in quality and improvement would be these drumheads. These drumheads are top of the line heads that will provide our ensemble with the sound it needs to be successful while also familiarizing the students with playing on surfaces that professionals do, allowing them to transition to a higher level if they choose to.
A reinvigorated sound would benefit the school and music program at large. Our drumline performs at every pep assembly, event, and football game and the joy of groove brings the attention of many spectators. We have a vision where the drumline is on the forefront of bringing back the school spirit we lost and to build our music program bigger than it’s been before. Getting the drumline to the next level with improved equipment and sound is the first step towards that goal.
