My students need 25 copies of "Time for Kids" magazine, 4 Sports Ball Pillows and 2 space-saver bookcases from Lakeshore Learning to create a comfortable library area.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach fifth grade in a high-need community. I work with a predominantly English Language Learning Population.
This year I am switching classrooms and had to leave behind most of the classroom furniture and materials. Therefore, my students and I are walking into a bare minimum classroom.
I hope to create an inviting and motivational reading area and classroom library to encourage students to read more and to take pride in our classroom. Students will be able to use these resources everyday throughout the year. I need 2 bookcases to store book baskets where students go to choose their books to read. In addition, students love to sit on classroom pillows and I would use the 4 Sports Ball Pillows to brighten up the rug area in the classroom. The students would take turns using them as independent work space. Lastly, I am requesting 25 subscriptions to "Time For Kids" magazine, which is a resource students look forward to and learn a great deal from in all grades, but especially in the upper grades. Most students cannot afford to subscribe to these classroom magazines. They will use the subscription to read, complete homework assignments and discuss current topics.

TIME For Kids Magazine- World Report Edition w/ TFK Around the World (grades 4-6). Pricing is valid for orders placed after March 2008. After August 15th of current school year, pricing will remain in effect but TIME For Kids reserves the right to prorate issue quantity and free gifts.
